Societal benefit through innovation and mobilisation
MaU Innovation’s primary aim is to foster a more sustainable and equitable society. By collaborating with various societal stakeholders, we generate, share, and disseminate knowledge to understand, explain, and advance society.
We support researchers, students, and staff at Malmö University who wish to apply their research or develop their ideas. Together, we convert research findings and ideas into methods, processes, products, and services that create value and address contemporary societal challenges.
Our governmental mission
Malmö University’s Innovation Office was established in 2018. It is aimed at university staff and students, with the mission of increasing the utilisation of research-based knowledge.
The Swedish government’s rationale for establishing Innovation Offices at higher education institutions is to improve the efficiency of research utilisation and thereby contribute to societal benefit. At Malmö University, MaU Innovation is responsible for delivering the government’s Innovation Office mandate.
